Evaluate a forma and print the resolved result. eval runs the same evaluation that apply does, so you can inspect exactly what a forma resolves to before you apply it. It does not change any infrastructure.

Examples

Reuse evaluated input

Starting with formae 0.90.4, save the full machine JSON output when several commands must use exactly the same evaluated values:
Use the same file and explicit mode for observation, review, and submission. This prevents a new Pkl evaluation from generating different random values between steps. JSON input is already evaluated and does not accept property overrides. Private and unclassified input-property values are omitted from the input manifest. Evaluated resource values can still contain secrets; keep the file with the other private review artifacts. Changes to the declaration or relevant infrastructure still require a fresh review.

Flags

Like apply and destroy, eval also exposes the property flags declared by the forma it evaluates.
